Under the patronage of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan an exhibition of Saudi artifacts, known as “Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia,” has opened its doors in the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum on Nov. 8th
The exhibition organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) is set to continue until Feb. 16, 2019. The new exhibition includes hundreds of priceless artefacts from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Gold funeral masks, bronze statues, ancient steles (vertical stone slabs) and a door to the Kaaba of Makkah’s Grand Mosque are on display. Many of the archaeological pieces have been unearthed only in the past few decades by Saudi and international teams, but they are slowly drawing back the curtain on a dazzling and unexplored world.
Agence France Museums together with Louvre Abu Dhabi selected Hypsos in Dubai as their partner responsible for the execution of the complete environment to display this impressive collection.
